Worldbuilder's Journal: Entry #1...
The Black Market in Kal-Dor...
Mekham Gründeraxe: An elderly dwarf that sells armor from his forge as well as from around the world. He has very light blue eyes and still has long brown hair that he wears in two separate braids but has a very long beard in a braid that's showing its age and is graying. He doesn't deal with magical items as a rule but isn't above offering trades to get something into his "personal collection." While he will part with items in his personal collection for the right trade, he will not accept a cash payment for them. He is very brash and outspoken.
Iseldior Lalon: A relatively young elf who deals mainly in the collecting and sale of information. Many of the adventurers that come to Kal-Dor seek him out for the latest places and ways to get rich quick. Iseldior often gets himself into trouble but uses his silver tongue to bail himself out. He has long, platinum colored hair which he wears up in a bun and grey eyes. He is also known as the local bookie, keeping betting lines on the local sports and competitions. He is always looking for a "quick copper" and tends to not say anything important unless he is being paid, as a general rule.
"Snake" Maxim Canterwell: A former and reformed leader of a local militia group that "went straight" after a few years in a cell. Since his incarceration, he has been careful not to tread on the lines of legality. He sells trinkets and baubles, which include those items that are enchanted with magic. Maxim is a bald, clean shaved human in good shape of about 60 years old. He secretly works as an informant for the local law enforcement. He's talkative to a point. He likes talking about the history of items he may have for sale but will clam up when it comes to personal questions about him and his past.
