5 Taverns in Kal-Dor

The Brown Dove: Owned by Breonna Malkiner, a middle aged human woman. They aren't only known for their spirits but also for their food, employing Breonna's ex-husband Eppin, a half-elf. The walls are adorned with elaborate works of art featuring birds and their speciality is a personal pie made from minced pigeon meat, freshly caught that morning. To keep costs down and stock up, Breonna and Eppin also run a bird farm on the outskirts of Kal-Dor in a hamlet called Sheep's Eye.

The Flatmoore Inn: Owned by Glamroy Welkshim, an old gnome who used to be a jeweler until an accident during a robbery left his right arm paralyzed. Glamroy bought the inn from a human by the name of Haemish Hullund, who was getting out of the business. Unfortunately, the "inn" section of the building suffered from a fire a few years ago and has been condemned by the city council. Glamroy has insisted that the "inn" will be rebuilt, though he has yet to make any progress in the matter.

Undrin Hall: Owned by Yulak Quarterstone, a dwarf who settled in Kal-Dor after partaking in a holy pilgrimage to the site of the "Battle of Our Elders," which is a deeply spiritual place for dwarves. Undrin Hall's main clientele is Kal-Dor's dwarven population and serves as a guild hall for the stone masons as well. They are known for a drink called “dragon ale” that is half beer and half moonshine that is made by Yulak himself. Non-dwarves will tend to get the side eye from the patrons but are usually left alone. Elves fall somewhere in between given a hard time to not welcome at all.

The Old Granary: Owned by Domon “The Grey” Aygray, a human male around 55 years old. The Old Granary is, as name indicates, a former storehouse for grain. When the city decided to build a newer, larger, better granary 10 years ago, Domon decided to purchase the old one and convert it into a bar with an area to host music during the day and hand to hand combat matches at night. Domon himself was a fighter back in the day, gaining the nickname “The Grey” to indicate a spirit of both the white, peace, and the black, war.

The Barber's Doorstep: This tavern is also a barbershop. The front (barbershop) is run by a male halfling named Stewus Bimblethorn and the back (the tavern) is run by his male human friend Miloch Quarsio. Both moved to Kal-Dor a few years ago and decided to joinly open a business instead of trying to buy or rent to separate businesses. They make a special cocktail called the “Comb Cleaner” which is blue like the solution used to sterilize Stewus' scissors and combs. It is a very strong drink and tends to only be ordered by tourists.
